Dear loiterers
Its First Sunday this Sunday and so time for us to wander together once again.
The LRM will be gathering on Sunday June 1st at 2pm outside The Peoples History Museum, corner of Left Bank and Bridge Street M3 3ER.
We will go for a communal drift across the city, with the prompts revealed on the day. Our pace and direction will be set by whoever joins us. It is as ever free, unticketed, and open to all – because these streets belong to everyone.
For anyone interested in a double dose of loitering in the morning I am facilitating a tour for SPARK artists network, and hopefully some of their members will also join us for the afternoon derive. Unlike the afternoon this is ticketed (but still free) for logistical reasons. Its covering ground (and stories) that will likely be familiar to regular loiterers, as its more introductory – but of course you are very welcome to come along whether you are new, well-seasoned or simply curious. As always LRM tours are participatory and permeable with questions and contradictions encouraged. More details here: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/castlefieldgallery/1697739
If there’s interest I can retrace the tour in reverse order if some folk prefer that to exploring the drift prompt – it will be a multi faceted choose your own adventure. As ever I have faith in the poetry of the pavement to guide us where we need to be….
We’ll finish around 4pm for a brew and blether somewhere convivial. So:
Sunday June 1st
The LRM 2pm outside Peoples History Museum (no ticket needed)
SPARK 11am outside The Bridgewater Hall (please book a ticket)
